It’s you alone who loves himself because no one will ever stay

If ever, merely for the art of expressing, I am asked to narrate about love, I’d pause, think of all that ought not to and start leaving blank verses in between the stories of lives, just to accord with, the ever-growing concept of one-sided love, and the lines that will beautifully fill this.

Such is the progressing nature of ‘romantic love’ that has us wanting more, yet bound to the maddening prose of rejection that leaves its imprints each time someone even thinks about breathing happily.

But have you ever thought about yourself, that you had to ‘lose you’ in entirety just to learn a few basic yet magical lessons?

One casually cries while the other plainly paints, but the depths of rejection seem to be a lot more crippling than that. Everyone talks about its fascination but who is it that really lives through the saddening sounds it echoes.

Your soul will have been undressed, bruised, and led to bleed without anyone being there to put a bandage on it. And she will walk charmingly, flaunting her new lover like she has never even met you.

And it is now that you realize, the beauty in aloneness that will help you heal.

Just as the rose, which had been separated from its lover in the nursery, thinking that it would wilt off, now glows elegantly into the wild, so will your soul. It’s the beauty in time that paints us poetically.

It is at the moment that you decide to ‘let go’ and embrace the idea that no one would ever stay, is when you truly start to live in unison with everything that is.

And love is, but an intentional ploy to break us until one can no longer feel any pain. It’s grief and suffering that actually defines the many rhythms that float around us.

To love ourselves or let ourselves hate us for loving someone else, is what’s left of love. And there is no escaping the conditional that so craftily plays on repeat wherever we go.

And the next song you write should be about you because it's you who deserves the best in life. So much of our hearts have been torn in pursuit of something that is not even ours.

Walking through the spaces of grey will only make us hate our path. And everything that shines will fade into limbo, making us incapable of feeling anymore.

So hold your heart uncompromisingly and let it not walk away from you anymore. Taking care of yourself first is the only thing that will matter in this definitive circle of life.

With each new beat of the heart, it is imperative to realize that no one would ever stay even if the span of life was just averaged to a day.
