About Me

The Road to Writing

Writing it seems, has become a necessity for me: a tool for survival. I'm from Fiji and have completed my degree from the University of the South Pacific. My writing career was launched in 2017 with my debut poetry collection 'The Tragedy of our Lives'. I then published my second book 'A Beautiful Poison' in 2018 which ranked Number 1 in the Australian and Oceanian Poetry category. My third book 'the flower that went mad' which was published in 2021, was a #1 Bestseller worldwide.

My interests are generally in Poetry and Fictional pieces but I also find myself deeply occupied with Non-fiction work as well. I tend to draw inspiration from all the chaos that surrounds our lives. After all, it is only through 'misery' that we get to know the true meaning of life. I aspire to continue writing and be a voice to those who suffer in silence.

The Tragedy of our Lives

November 19, 2017

‘The Tragedy of our Lives’ explores the dynamics of life, each presented with an afterthought that may be limiting a soul from the adventures of tomorrow. With each new day, there is a curtain, which if turned, may take you to paradise. And soon, everyone will continuously ask you about this new place. So give it a name, fill it with people and trees and books and everything that you ever dreamt of. It is yours and you can shape every word of it. Under the notion of nothingness, what is there to live for if it’s not for poetry?

The book juggles with different versions of reality, with all looking alike as if summer and winter had it planned. The long descriptive lines will try to decipher the emotional elements at play each time we breathe or even think of loving someone. The book explores a wide range of subjects including love, poverty, depression, rejection, nature, and general philosophy.

the flower that went mad

November 23, 2021

'the flower that went mad' is filled with heartaches as well as joy and takes the readers through a journey of the up and the down moments in life. It expresses all the things that many are too afraid to open up about; it is painted with a thousand unsaid emotions at the turn of each page. But it is also about healing and finding one's voice. All this suffering that you go through will not go unnoticed because there is meaning too in chaos.

This collection will nurture, allow & gently restore your healing abilities through the emotions that connect with subtle, yet infallible energy within you.
