Controversy: A Freethinkers Guide
It’s a strange world, with the elite having the so called ‘power’ to act like they run the entire show. As if all other things equal, the default power has to be given unto these capitalist or fame stuck generics of human beings. The entire narrative is just so blurry that people have to be conditioned into the idea of just blending in, unaware of the fact that alternative viewpoints could exist, just as powerful as the current viewpoint that is seemingly provided as the only option for people.
The cliché here, and for the world to make any sense to the mind which wants to think differently, there is a different school of thought that needs to be put out there for the general public. In this vague understanding of the ‘societal correctness’ connotation, one is lead into asking further questions, not merely to allow for a progressive debate, but open a new reality for people that could eventually be practicable in a different set of time and under different circumstances.
A new window of thoughts overwhelm, and for the conventional viewpoint to hold, not many glasses will be able to. Humans have evolved through inquiry, and with it, the responsibility that holds unto the current generation—for it to prevail just as a particular viewpoint tries to solicit its way as being the only ‘truth’ or knowledge that exists.
The outrage from the audience may perhaps outgrow than usual expectations, but that’s just the way it had been all this while. However people are now realizing that not only is it absurd to ‘not allow for an opposing viewpoint’ to take its course, but an act of incompetency in part of humanity.
In order to conceptualize the understanding of free speech, it is fair to say that playing the ‘victim card’ is in itself an aggressor towards it. In a world which hosts varied thinkers, a lot majority having to find ‘space spaces’ for such differentiated thoughts, it’s become a lot convenient to just agree on a particular statement and go about by our lives. It perhaps just sounds most appealing, without facing any real consequences.
But to the entirety of the ‘truth’ that is out there, everyone is directly or indirectly impacted just by the blind conformance of it. The magnificent human brain is so capable of deriving a magnitude of thoughts that if unchallenged, it may in itself be a setback to ‘what ought to be’ rather than ‘what is’.
If a latter part of humanity were to deal with ‘consequences’, then this would be creating it. Not allowing for an opposing viewpoint to take ground as everyone quietly shook hands with the far appealing and convenient thought in the market.
In the quest to understand better, it becomes imperative to allow for an equal viewpoint to at least be part of discussions. Saying that everything is green does not necessarily make it one but what’s most interesting is the sway of people who are lead into believing that everything is. With each ray of sunshine that glows, describing its beauty is important, but what’s more significant is understanding the science that holds true for it.
